Christopher Ross

Christopher Ross
Chris Ross has been a Funeral Director with William Slater Funeral Home for the past two and a half years. After starting his career in Pittsburgh, Chris spent six years honing his skills in the Philadelphia area before returning to his hometown. With over a decade of experience in the funeral industry, Chris brings a wealth of knowledge and compassion to his role. When Chris isn’t working, he enjoys watching sports, golfing, and spending time with family and friends.

William Slater II

William Slater II
Bill has been a dedicated part of Slater Funeral Service for 43 years. As a fourth-generation funeral professional, he got his start at a young age, washing vehicles for the funeral home before attending Mortuary School in 1980. Being part of the family business, Bill is passionate about helping families through some of their most challenging times. He finds great reward in comforting people and ensuring they feel supported every step of the way. When he's not at work, Bill enjoys traveling, spending time with friends and family, and boating.

David Donis

David Donis
With an impressive 40 years of experience, David Donis has dedicated his entire career to serving families at William Slater Funeral Service. Drawn to the funeral home’s outstanding reputation and family-focused approach, David has never worked anywhere else. His decades of experience and commitment make him a trusted and respected Slater Funeral Service family figure. When he’s not at work, David enjoys spending time with family, running, and working in the yard

Shelley Bishop

Shelley Bishop
For 25 years, Shelley Bishop has been a welcoming presence at Slater Funeral Service. Interestingly, when she answered an ad for a receptionist position, Shelley didn’t initially realize she was interviewing for a role at a funeral home. After pausing to consider, she went in for the interview—a decision she’s been grateful for ever since! Over the years, Shelley has had the privilege of learning from some of the best in the industry, developing her skills, and providing compassionate service to families during challenging times. After work, Shelley loves spending time with her English Mastiff, Hank, taking care of her flowers, and trying new restaurants.

Ashley Miller Dougherty

Ashley Miller Dougherty
Since joining Slater Funeral Service in 2011 after graduating from the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science (PIMS), Ashley Miller Dougherty has been a compassionate and steadfast presence for the families she serves. Inspired by Slater's care for her family in Burgettstown, Ashley chose to build her career here. When she’s not working, Ashley enjoys raising her 4 children, spending time with her puppy, Habanero, and serving on local boards.

Charles Dougherty

Charles Dougherty
Chuck Dougherty has been an integral part of the Slater Funeral Service team for over 26 years, beginning his journey with the organization while attending the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science in 1999. Drawn to Slater’s reputation as the best in the industry, Chuck has dedicated his career to providing exceptional care and support to families. In his spare time, Chuck enjoys being with his family, participating in his children’s activities, and cooking (especially grilling).

Richard Rega

Richard Rega
As a licensed funeral director since 1979 and a member of the Slater Funeral Service team for 17 years, Richard Rega brings over 46 years of experience in funeral services. He wanted to work with a high-quality firm that shared his commitment to compassionate care. In his spare time, Richard enjoys golf, spending time with his family, and going to Steelers and Pitt games.

Martin Griffith

Martin Griffith
Marty Griffith has been a dedicated member of the Slater Funeral Service team for 19 years. He brings nearly two decades of invaluable experience and commitment to supporting families. Marty's long-standing tenure with Slater reflects his dedication and compassion.

Lynn Teck

Lynn Teck
Lynn Teck has been a valued Slater Funeral Service team member for 14 years. With a Pennsylvania Funeral Director license earned in 1984, Lynn brings decades of expertise and professionalism to her role
