Trivona Marie O’Brien September 15, 1940 – November 4, 2026
Trivona Marie O’Brien, 86, passed away peacefully on November 4, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on September 15, 1940, Trivona was a beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to all. Affectionately known as “Grandma”, “Mamau”, “Turkey Grandma” and “GiGi”, she was the heart of her family and the glue that held everyone together.
She was the best mom, grandmother, and great-grandmother her family could ever have asked for. Sassy, spicy, and full of love, Trivona had an unforgettable personality. Shopping was her favorite pastime. She also loved playing cards, line dancing, and cooking—she was always the “Boss” in the kitchen! A true snack lover, her signature favorites were Lay’s potato chips and B&L Dip. Above all, she loved her family, and she will be missed beyond words.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John “Jack” O’Brien; her parents, Ruth and Paul Duing; and her sister, Patsy Winter.
Trivona is survived by her sister, Jerilyn (Chuck) Schmidt, and her brother, Howard (Terri) Duing; and her four loving children, Danny (Cherie) O’Brien, Timmy (Shelly) O’Brien, Tammy (Ron) Bellovich, and Darla (Tommy) Matrascia.
She was the cherished Grandma and Mamau of Brittany Bellovich, Timmy (Katie) O’Brien, Kelley (Patrick) Skahan, Shawna Matrascia, Danny (Vanessa) O’Brien, Jordan (JJ) Jankowski, Ashley Bellovich, Colby (Faran) O’Brien, TJ (Tara) Matrascia, Chloe Matrascia, Tanner (Kierstyn) O’Brien, and Bailey Matrascia.
She was the adored GiGi of Jackson, Charlie, Emma, Griffin, Austyn, Aspen, Braxton, Amelia, Roman, Rahlee, Ruxtyn, Roque, Kinley, Rory, Tatum, Keegan, Scarlett, Hattie and Charlie Grace. She also leaves behind her beloved nieces, nephews, and friends.
Her memory will live on in the stories her family shares, the laughter they remember, and the love that connects them. Forever their mom, Grandma, Mamau, Turkey Grandma and GiGi—forever the heart of their family.
