It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Timothy E. (Tim) Bone, age 31, of Carlsbad, New Mexico, formerly of Mt. Lebanon, who departed this life unexpectedly on August 13, 2026. Tim was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to Tom and Terri Bone.
Tim is remembered as a cherished brother to Patrick (Megan) Bone, and Megan and her fiancé, Matthew Rosenthal. He was a caring uncle to Teddy and Calvin, and his boundless love will forever be imprinted in their hearts. Tim was a beloved grandson to Margaret and the late Francis Zagrobelny and the late Dewey and Lucy Bone. Tim is survived by his many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
A geologist, Tim enjoyed the outdoors and loved his career as a park ranger, making friends across his stops in Vermont, Montana, Minnesota, Rhode Island, Alabama, and at Carlsbad Caverns National Park in New Mexico. Despite his movements across the country, Tim remained a Pittsburgher at heart. Tim enjoyed supporting the Steelers, Pirates, Penguins, West Virginia Mountaineers, and Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
Tim loved music throughout his life, participating in Marching Band and Percussion Ensemble at Mt. Lebanon High School in his youth, the Mercyhurst University Pep Band before his graduation, and the Carlsbad Wind Symphony in New Mexico. Tim also enjoyed movies and cinema, woodworking, and building Lego.
