Obituary

Stephanie Marie Vail (Niecgorski) was called home to the Lord on October 18th, 2026. She was surrounded by her loving family. Stephanie is survived by her husband Adam Vail, mother Theresa Niecgorski, brother Stanley Niecgorski, and son Nicholas Niecgorski.

Stephanie was a very special woman who was an inspiration to everyone she met. She carried herself through years of serious illness with a level of dignity and grace that set an example for others. She was known for her selflessness, empathy/compassion for others and a contagious giving spirit. Stephanie had a passion for interior design and a love of cooking she inherited from her beloved grandmother Diana Coury.

Her strong Catholic faith, devotion to the Blessed Mother Mary, and special relationship to Saint Charbel Makhlouf were of utmost importance to her and she took great comfort through this in both good times and bad.

The void she leaves behind cannot be summarized in a few paragraphs, but family and friends will strive to carry on her legacy through faith, love, and charity as she would want us to. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.

Family and friends are welcome Friday, October 23, 2026. 1-4 & 6-8 PM at William Slater II Funeral Service. 1650 Greentree Rd., Scott Twp.,15220 412-563-2800. A mass of Christian burial will be held Saturday, October 24, 2026 11 AM at Resurrection Parish Saint John Capistran Church 1610 McMillan Rd., Pittsburgh, PA 15241. EVERYONE MEET AT CHURCH.
