Sharon Howard (Boles), 72, of Sharpsburg, passed away peacefully on August 29, 2026, in her home with her loving husband by her side.

Sharon was born on March 27, 1954, in Pittsburgh, the daughter of the late Harry and Mary (Banachoski) Boles. The oldest of six siblings, Sharon grew up alongside Porky Boles (Roseann), Debbie Colesnik (the late Rich), Kevin Boles (Sherrie), Brian Boles (Lisa), and the late Chet Boles.

Sharon lived a life marked by unwavering love for her family. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed family gatherings, bingo, planning bus trips to Atlantic City, Pepsi, playing cards, and, of course, causing trouble.

Sharon was a woman of strong faith and a firm believer in Christ. She never feared the day she would meet the Lord, finding strength and peace in her faith. She was incredibly strong—a fighter through and through. Sharon was never afraid to speak her mind or stand firmly in what she believed.

She will be deeply missed by her husband, Joe, of 46 years; her son, Joey (Malory); her wonderful grandchildren, Jordan and Palmer; along with numerous loving relatives and friends.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Sharon’s life during visitation on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, from 2–4 p.m. and 6–8 p.m. at Slater Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. Sharpsburg, 820 Main St., Sharpsburg, PA 15215. A memorial service will be held at 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home during the evening visitation.
