Gregory L. Martin, Sr., 70 of Burgettstown passed away on Sunday, September 20, 2026 in the WVU Weirton.

He was born on December 5, 1955 in Honolulu, Hawaii, a son of the late George and Jean Rupani Martin.

A 1973 graduate of Union High School in Burgettstown, he also graduated from Beaver County Community College.

Greg started his career with the United States Postal Service as a rural carrier and retired as the Postmaster of the Imperial Post Office. He also was a well respected Real Estate Agent for Coldwell Banker. He also worked for Washington Ambulance & Chair Service. Greg was very active in the community, belonging to several organizations such as former President of the Burgettstown Youth Baseball Association and clubs, including the Burgettstown Italian Club where he served as the bar steward and played Bocci. He was also an excellent bowler and golfer.

His wife, Linda Boni Martin whom he married on January 23, 1993 survives.

Surviving in addition to his wife are his children Marcy Bender and husband Bill of Erie, Melissa Babyak and husband Jim of Burgettstown, Monica Andrews of Burgettstown and Gregory Martin, Jr. of Atlasburg; grandchildren Michael Morreale, Matthew Severo, Alyssa Casey, Noah Smithers, Anthony Strapazzon, Adriana LaRue and Mia Strapazzon, Mark Lounder, Autumn Bender and Ashley Beery; great grandchildren Brooklyn, Brentley, Bryleigh, Anthony Jr., Oliver and Ryker; and two sisters Denise Corcoran and husband Sam of Coraopolis and Debbie Martin of Morgantown.

Deceased in addition to his parents is a grandson Robert Lee Morreale.

Greg's family invites everyone to a Celebration of Life Service on Friday September 25, 2026 starting at 4:00 p.m. at the Burgettstown Italian Club, 1909 N. Main St. Burgettstown on Friday, September 25, 2026.
