George B. Mastovich, 81, of Pittsburgh, died on October 7, 2026. He was born on August 1, 1945, to George and Susanna Mastovich in Johnstown, PA.

George attended West Virginia University as an undergraduate and later earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Pittsburgh in the mid-1980s. He worked as a Social Worker in Chicago, Illinois, before obtaining his law degree and then worked as a self-employed attorney in Pittsburgh until his retirement. He was passionate about motorcycles and traveled extensively with his wife Candy.

George is survived by sister Donna Cvrkel, sister-in-law Kathy Powell, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife Candy Phillips.

Divine Liturgy will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, at St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Church, 411 Power Street, Johnstown, PA, Father Timothy Farris presiding.

Inurnment will follow at Grandview Cemetery.
