Frederick Lloyd Ansel Jr. passed away on August 18, 2026, peacefully at his home in Donegal, PA with his wife by his side. He was the husband of Sharon Ansel. They shared almost six years of marriage together. Born on December 10, 1969, he was the son of the late Frederick Ansel and Linda Ansel. He graduated from Connellsville High School in 1988. Fred was an electrician after he graduated high school. Fred had served in the National Guard and later went into the United States Navy in 1989 until 1997. During that time, he had one daughter, Anna (Ansel) Cook, and two adopted children, Tristina Ansel and Shawn Ansel. Fred also worked at the US Army Corps of Engineers in Charleroi, PA. Fred is survived by his sister Sherry Helinsky and her husband Michael, niece Kendra Wagner and nephew Paul Helinsky. The interment will be held at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies in Bridgeville, PA on September 8th at 1:30pm. In lieu of flowers please donate to the VA Clinic in Pittsburgh, PA.
