Fred R. “Bucky” Downs

Age 89, of Mt. Washington, passed away on Wednesday, July 19, 2023. Beloved Father of Brian (Heidi) Downs, Michele (Eric) Baum and the late Renee Gindel. Cherished Pap Pap of Jacob, Brianna and Cameron. Beloved Brother of the late Dolores, Betty and Shirley. Also survived by Nieces and Nephews. Bucky loved fishing, camping, playing the harmonica and talking with everyone he met. Family and friends welcome Monday 3-7 pm WM. SLATER & SONS INC. (412-381-3345) 301 Virginia Ave., Mt Washington 15211 where a service will be held Monday at 7:00 pm. Burial will be private to the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, 600 River Ave. Pittsburgh, PA 15212.
