Elizabeth Jeanne "Beth" Ruh, of Upper St. Clair, passed away on August 19, 2026.

Beth was a graduate of Mount Lebanon High School and Ohio University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Communications and was a member of Chi Omega Sorority. She enjoyed a nearly twenty-year career in Pittsburgh radio and television, including positions with KDKA-TV, WPXI-TV/Cox Broadcasting, and Sinclair Broadcast Group.

In later years, Beth worked in event planning and catering for Giant Eagle Market District, coordinating family, corporate, and community events throughout the Pittsburgh region. An exceptional cook, she also occasionally served as an in-store demonstration chef.

Beth was a member of Bower Hill Community Church in Mt. Lebanon and had a lifelong appreciation for American and Western Pennsylvania history. She was a member of the Mayflower Society, a past president of the Pennsylvania Society Children of the American Revolution, a member of the Pittsburgh Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, and served on the Board of Directors of the Pittsburgh Block House.

Beth will be remembered especially for her devotion to family, generosity, wonderful cooking, lively spirit, and the friendship and kindness she extended to others.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 35 years, Frank E. Stanchic; her mother, Elizabeth Mundy Ruh; and her brother, Edwin Ruh, Jr.

Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at WILLIAM SLATER II FUNERAL SERVICE (412) 563-2800 1650 Greentree Rd. Scott Twp., 15220, where a funeral service will take place on Thursday, August 27, 2026, at 11 AM. Burial to follow at Mount Lebanon Cemetery.
