Dolores M. Senanis, 83, of Pittsburgh, passed away on Friday, August 21, 2026. She was born on July 14, 1943 to the late John and Laura (Bachorski) Senanis.
Dolores was a wonderful daughter, sister, aunt, friend, and confidant.
All who knew Dolores, knew a woman who was generous, spirited, and loving. Dolores built her professional career long before women chose this path, on the backs of a high school education, from her home in Mt. Oliver, PA. Dolores was personal assistant to Senator John Heinz. After his death, she managed the Heinz Family office, where she retired at age 72.
She will be remembered by her family for her love and generosity. To her colleagues, she was a leader, a mentor and a friend. She lived a full, wonderful life and will be dearly missed by many.
Dolores is survived by her sister, Dorothy (Tom) O’Sullivan, preceded in death by her sisters, Loretta Ryan and Lorraine Homer. She was a loving aunt to the late Susan O’Sullivan. Also, loving aunt of, Amy (Stacey Tomey) O’Sullivan, Kathleen (Russell) Dumas, Shawn (Stacey) Ryan, Cheryl (Jeff) Greer, William (Dawn) Ryan, Johnna (Marty) Devine, Ashley (Carl) Morosetti, Denise (Ryan) Donovan, many great and great-great nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Friends and family will be received on Monday, August 24,2026 from 2-4, 6-8PM at Freyvogel Slater Funeral Directors, 112 Fort Couch Road, Bethel Park, 412-835-1860. Mass of Christian Burial, Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at 10AM, St. Thomas More Church, Resurrection Parish, 126 Fort Couch Road. Dolores volunteered here with Dorothy and Tom for as long as she was able.
