Obituary

January 3, 1964 – July 22, 2026

Daniel "Danny" Garripoli, 62, of Camp Verde, Arizona, passed away peacefully at home on July 22, 2026, surrounded by family.

Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to Michael and Marian (Dennis) Garripoli, Danny was the youngest of six and happily embraced being the baby of the family. He proudly served six years in the U.S. Navy, receiving an honorable discharge in 1988, then built a successful career in construction as a Senior Superintendent on major building projects in the Washington, D.C., area and Arizona.

Never afraid of a new chapter, Danny moved from Pennsylvania to Maryland for his career, and at 58 relocated to Camp Verde. A die-hard Pittsburgh sports fan, he rarely missed a game, especially the Steelers. He loved the outdoors, golf, traveling the world, and wine, both drinking it and making his own. He is known for his intelligence, quirky sense of humor, and his big heart.

Brother of Michele (Anthony) Schifino, Nancy Garripoli, Michael Garripoli, Patricia (Albert) Brocious, Denise (James) Tortola and uncle to eight nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are welcomed on Friday, October 23, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Slater Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. Sharpsburg, 820 Main St., Sharpsburg, Pa, 15215.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society (https://raiseyourway.donordrive.com/campaigns/In-Memory-of-Daniel-Garripoli) in Danny's memory.
