Crystal Gayle Garsteck, 45, passed away unexpectedly on July 15, 2026, at Independence Health System Westmoreland Hospital in Greensburg.
Crystal was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend whose kindness, compassion, and loving spirit touched everyone who knew her.
Born on August 19, 1980, she was the daughter of Kenneth W. Miller Sr. and the late Carolyn J. (Mardis) Miller, who preceded her in death on January 25, 2019.
On August 3, 2002, Crystal married the love of her life, Brook Garsteck. Together they built a life centered on love and family until his passing on May 28, 2024. Their marriage was blessed with four beautiful daughters, who were the pride and joy of Crystal’s life: Christina M. Garsteck, Samantha E. Garsteck, Rebecca L. Garsteck, and Roberta J. Garsteck.
In addition to her daughters, Crystal is survived by her father, Kenneth W. Miller Sr.; her brother, Kenneth W. Miller Jr.; and many extended family members and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.
Crystal dedicated many years of her life to serving others as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). She was respected and loved by her coworkers and remembered for the compassionate care she gave to every patient whose life she touched.
Above all else, Crystal loved her family. She will be remembered for her generous heart, gentle spirit, unwavering strength, and the unconditional love she shared with everyone fortunate enough to know her. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
Crystal was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Brook Garsteck, and her mother, Carolyn J. (Mardis) Miller.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Tuesday, July 21, 2026. A blessing by the priest will be held at 12:00 p.m. Visitation will follow from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and again from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Crystal’s life and the love she shared with so many.
Crystal will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever held in the hearts of her family and friends
