Carleen Simpson, 86, of Weirton, WV; formerly of Burgettstown, passed away on Wednesday evening August 19, 2026 in WVU Weirton Medical Center.

She was born on October 12, 1939 a daughter of the late George W. and Ann Whalen Smith.

She is survived by her six children Renee Chesnic and husband Jack, Toni Cruny, Brenda Kent, Joellen Garbini and husband Tony, Rhonda Saunders and Danielle Bianchini and husband Marc; 11 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband Anthony Cruny, Jr. and her second husband Arthur T. Simpson.

Mrs. Simpson will be laid to rest with services in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, Burgettstown at a date and time to be announced shortly.
